Nice location in Taggia near the river and the beautiful old medieval Portici (arcade) . The menu is very simple with 2 or 3 choices of first, second and desert dishes. All are made freshly in house and are bit different from the standard Italian food. We had delicious fresh pasta and freshly cooked local artichokes. Price is about €20 per person for three courses. Very nice friendly service too.
Small bar near the Roman Bridge in Taggia, you may have to wait for a table as it is very popular with locals for lunch. Well worth it as the service is excellent, food is good Italian home cooking and price only €20 for three courses! Taggia is a lovely historic town so a good place to go for a day or half day trip. There is a big underground (paying) car park near the bar.
Sometimes you just stumble upon somewhere which is just simple and exactly what you want. This is it. Lovely vegetarian options, great service, good prices. Great value for money in a very interesting town.
Me and my husband had been cycling for 4 hours through mountains, forest and old villages. Found nothing open on our way down to the sea level. First village that looked open was Taggia and we just took the first plave we found and ordered the 2 first dishes on the list. What food! We had homemade pasta with rabbit and parmesan and a dish with Auberinge and prosciutto. The cuisine, felt like coming home to soemone's mother. Hearty, roustic and wellmade. We decided to go back another day to make sure it was not only our huge hunger that made the food so good...the second visit was also really good! We also went biking but more planned and this time the place was packed with guests inside. We sat outside and had their mixed plate and gnocchi with saussice. Everything was tasty. Good place for lunch, espresso and they also have a counter with homemade foccacias, bread etc.
