Beautiful size from an old public house updated by the previous rating on 2021-09-12
Just off the A64 near York but on the A64 Leeds bound. Plenty of parking, very welcoming, staff very attentive. Delicious food but pricey
Absolutely fantastic, just finished eating in the restaurant because all the surrounding restaurants were closed because it was a Monday evening so that it was with luck we discovered this fantastic restaurant. we did not book, but the very friendly employees found us a table for 2 despite busy. fantastic eating and very attentive service at a reasonable price.
Not a patch on how it used to be. Food was fine but not superb as it used to be. Decor is tired and although it was a Monday that we went the place was empty by 9pm.
Food was ok Samoas looked frozen then deep fried, food a little over priced, £16 odd quid for a lamb tikka is a bit steep. The location of the restaurant is strange and it look a bit tired on the outside and greeted by 2 females hopping of a bus to use the rear of the restaurant as a wild toilet, it came across like a discussed service station. Service was good but was not busy at the time so was one course after another. We only went as it was down the road from the hotel we stayed at, but it appears they rely on passing trade or takeaways more. It was different to our usual Indian back at home. If I was to visit York again I don't think I would return to this restaurant
