small neighbourhood restaurant with street parking. foi gras appetizer was easy on the leber, but contain several sautéed morels that formed for them. had the act and garnel. filet mignon was excellent. a bit muddy, tasty, but very granular, and the buds were barely edible. they feel that they need to focus more on all aspects of the meal. Food is great, but disingenuous when it comes bill time. Hence, you pay $50 to reserve a table. 20 percent gratuity is already included. When you get the bill the tip column is blank. Be careful. We were quite disappointed with our meal here. While there were some unique flavors, they didn't always work out well. The delicata squash was fantastic, but the elk was merely average. The grass-fed beef had about 25% gristle, which was off-putting. Moreover, the porcini cream sauce on the desserts was too overpowering and didn't pair well with the sweet flavors.
This place serves some of the best local food I've ever had, with new favorites every time I visit! I really appreciate their rotating seasonal menu. Last night, we enjoyed freshly foraged chanterelle toast and an incredible halibut bouillabaisse. My advice? Hurry and try their autumn menu before the season changes! I've never been disappointed here.
The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 10/10. Every meal and pairing is crafted with such thoughtfulness, making for a truly delicious experience.
I can't recall the last time I encountered such exceptional yet down-to-earth service. Our server, who might have been the manager, promptly replaced my wine when I wasn't thrilled with it and consistently checked in with us to ensure our food and drinks were satisfactory. The pork katsu was absolutely amazing—more mouthwatering than Homer Simpson drooling over a donut! I can't wait to come back.
