What Rebecca doesn't like about Red Gem:
The spicy noodles and fried rice were so bland, and as for the fried pork with the sweet sauce- the sauce had a very strong flavor of cucumber and nothing else. Jjajangmyun was too sweet. Haven’t been here for awhile and I thought I’d give it a try and I was very disappointed. I don’t think I’ll return to this restaurant again, my $80 feels so wasted. View all feedback.
It was a pretty bad experience. I went with my mom to try something new but the moment we walked in everyone looked at us and we overheard the server say something in a Korean but at the end of the sentence she said Mexican and laughed. We are Mexican. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and my mom order the just pork spicy noodle soup but they got it wrong and added seafood. When my mom told the server that she didn’t order seafood, the server said “you should’ve said that” but my mom did. She just took the bowl back without saying a word and stood there for a second in silence and gave my mom a new bowl with just pork.. The service was terrible. They didn’t come to check on us once. Our waters were completely empty and they didn’t even care to refill them. I could see the server just staring at us most of the time. I felt very uncomfortable because when i was just trying to enjoy the meal I can just see the server staring at us most of the time. I couldn’t even enjoy myself spending time with my mom

Very decent Koreanized Chinese dishes 4*, absolute minimum service 2*, basic ambience 3.5*. Oh! And sadly no kimchi side available! But there is raw onions with black bean sauce and yellow pickled radish, which were crispy and delicious.Gan Jja Jang Myeon noodles with stir-fried black bean sauce $13.99 4*Jjam Pongred but not too spicy noodle soup with pork, mussel, veggies squid $14.99 4*RyuSanSeulstir-fry sliced seafood pork with veggies. Comes with big bowl of white rice. Large portion can feed 2 people. $39.99. 4*YangJangPiassorted seafood (shrimp jellyfish), beef veg with mustard sauce (ordered to go and it came presented very nicely so just need to take off the cover and toss together with the side of dressing) S$39.99 L$54.99. 4*Servicevery hard to get the server to hear you calling her. Make sure to check your receipts. Pretty sure I got upcharged for no reason. Got 2 things and a drink for 43 bucks. When I added it up from the menu with tax it should have been less. I'm not coming backFood: 4/5
The jjangmyeun is the best in Seattle/Tacoma area, hands down. Can't speak for the other menu items.Food: 5/5
