It's hard for me to say how great this place is as a whole package. The food was amazing! If you like crispy fish with a great firm consistency then you will love this food! The cocktail sauce was the best cocktail sauce I've ever had in my life. If you like your cocktail sauce with a kick, this is one you need to try! That aside the service was absolutely outstanding. The young lady that helped me was the sweetest a... View all feedback.
What Gregory S doesn't like about Beer Garden (inside Tacoma Dome):
I was put off by the name because I was not in the mood to eat Thai food. As we walked through the Freighthouse Square food court we were wondering just what kind of place we had discovered. The ambience is very rustic. As we walked past Paya Thai Fish Chips, my wife decided that we would try fish chips. We ended up ordering shrimp, fish, chips. Shrimp was excellent with a very, very good cocktail sauce. The fish and... View all feedback.
Fish Chips 4.7/5 overall. Crispness 5/5. Batter 5/5. Fish quality 5/5. Flavor 5/5. Fries 4/5. Size and value 4/5. The best fish chips in the south sound. I have been here more times than I can count over the last 15 years and they are always consistently the best. There really is no comparison to anywhere in the tri county area, Cod or Halibut, both are amazing! If you want the best it's Paya Thai, trust me I try them all!

The ambience is very rustic. As we walked past Paya Thai Fish Chips, my wife decided that we would try fish chips. We ended up ordering shrimp, fish, chips. Shrimp was excellent with a very, very good cocktail sauce. The fish and chips were good; but, far from the best we have tried. I my opinion, the fish was on par with what you find in the frozen food section of the grocery stores. I should probably give this review one more star for the excellent service with a great sense of humor.
Cute little hole-in-the-wall fish chips counter in Tacoma's Freighthouse Square. You can choose cod, halibut, shrimp, scallops, oysters, clams, chicken, or a combo. Light crispy batter, fresh fish, crunchy fries, all great food for a great price!
Great food. Owners very friendly. Fish is very delicious and fresh. Recommend this place!
This is the best fishand chips ever, and I mean ever. I've eaten there many, many times and it's absolutely consistent. Great staff, just wonderful!!
