I didn 't see anything like vegan cheese or vegan sausage on the menu, but they have both savory sweet vegan waffles (falafel waffle vegan normal waffle). I got a half half of the 2 default vegan waffle menu items enjoyed both. Falafel batter waffle was on the oily side was a bit too much falafel with salad that was only cucumber tomato very thick tahini (no hummus, no onion, no pita, no pickled vegetables). vegan sweet waffle was better, a normal tasty waffle. Almost all the omnivores (4 of them) did not like their weird waffle concoctions (waffle mac n cheese, waffle egg sandwich), but I liked mine OK. would go there again maybe, but not bring the family.
It was our first time visiting. And we were so excited to have our cheat lunch ? I found it a bit unique to be able to order waffles in half size instead of full size. And we loved the taste! Only one thing, I'd like to request the restaurant is to leave a towel or wet wipes on the table if it's possible. Because is was a busy lunch time and no one had time to clean up empty tables so the table was a little sticky. If we have a towel or wet wipes on the table, it would be nice. But We'll definitely come back again tho!
My experience *might* be a result of the coronavirus and not reflective of their regular service. We ordered Aunt Miriam 's (strawberries, maple syrup, and added peanut butter), vegan egg sandwich with sausage, and a make-your-own waffle with spinach, grilled tofu, onions, and peppers. Sounds great, right? It really wasn 't. Both waffles were soggy. The taste was just good, not great. I expected more from a place that specializes in waffles. The biscuit bread used for the vegan egg sandwich was tasteless, powdery, and thick. The ratio of bread to tofu/cheese/sausage was not balanced. Too much bread, not enough tofu/cheese/sausage. Lastly, they forgot the spinach in the make-your-own and the peanut butter in the Aunt Miriam 's. They refunded us for the extra cost of those ingredients. And I tipped heavily because I am thankful they are open and employing staff. I will go back when the restaurant opens up for indoor seating to give them another chance.
What a great, low key, family friendly spot. My family of 13+ (mostly tweens) came here to eat. We were very hungry when we ordered and left very satisfied! The food and service did not disappoint. What I ordered, is what I got. The kitchen was fastand efficient, and my cappuccino was pretty good...it can't get better than that. Thank you for a great experience, a must goduring your visit to Syracuse.
Great atmosphere, great prices, delicious (and vast food selection (if you like waffles! Best waffles I've had in ages, and fried chicken was good too! No table waiting, you order at the counter (food and drinks at different counters , and pick it upon your own. Different, but worked well in practice!
