The Down Under Grill
Description
Located in a unique underground setting, this restaurant receives a mix of reviews for its food and service. While some diners praise the prime rib and burgers, others were disappointed with their meals such as blackened chicken Alfredo or rib eye steak. The atmosphere is highlighted as being great, with some diners mentioning the impressive service and delicious Valentine's Day special. The experience of dining underground is enjoyed by many, with compliments for the fish and prime rib dishes. Overall, the reviews show a range of opinions on the food quality and service, but the unique ambiance of the restaurant is commonly praised.

-Best drink selection for miles around. -Easy laid back atmosphere. -Great food to boot.
This salad was amazing! The bartender was top notch and the atmosphere was relaxed, casual and classy. The lemon sorbet martini was perfection and the list of beers on tap were plentiful! This is one of our new favorites!
I've been visiting this restaurant a few times a year for about 25 years. Over that time, I’ve witnessed several ownership changes, numerous chefs, and countless menu updates. I can honestly say that for the majority of those years, the food has been consistently good. However, around 2022-2023, the menu and food quality reached a whole new level. It's truly impressive, especially considering the prices, which are very reasonable. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is definitely above average, but the food quality-to-value ratio is outstanding. Their BLT is fantastic! And if you get the chance to try their salmon-topped summer salad, it might just blow your mind! Give a few items on the menu a try, and I guarantee you’ll find something you love.
Good bar food here. Craft Beer selection here is as solid as they come, with taps changing frequently. If you're a music lover like myself you will fall in love with the ambiance of 60s/70s rock Gods like the Grateful Dead, Dylan, Cash and Marley...some sweet memorabilia. Salads are fresh with great dressing selections Ive only had the burgers at this point which are legit. Dont sleep on The house made potato chips....so good. My only complaints are the beer prices. $6 for a microbrew pint is redic. Service was a bit slow but it was busy as hell. And the main reason for the three star review is that they allow smoking...wtf!? Based on the limited non chain restaurants in the area this is one of the better ones and Im sure we will make it back.
Excellent choice for a pint and dinner after work. Very cozy feel to the whole place, from the stonework front to the printed tin ceiling, and the walls are covered in music legends of America. Service was quick and friendly, and our waitress explained a bit about the place's history (founded 2004). Food was delicious and generously portioned! We ended up sitting in our corner for almost 4 hours, just enjoying being there.
