Guests praise spectacular sunrises, friendly staff and a relaxed lakeside atmosphere with nearby dining and entertainment. A few guests reported service lapses, including a canceled reservation and an isolated rude interaction.

The cottage itself was impeccably clean, with fresh linens and towels provided. With two bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen, and a cozy living room area, it was just perfect for us! We were only about 20 feet from the beach and made great use of the picnic tables and lounge chairs available at the cottage. There are also grills on-site, so you can easily pick up groceries from a nearby store and enjoy a barbecue. We definitely plan to come back! I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a beautiful beachfront experience!
The availability of Sunset Cottages rescued our vacation in central NY after our initial reservation fell through. I greatly appreciated Mike's quick response, as well as the warm hospitality of all the families who return to the cottages each year. If you're looking for a quaint small-town experience with a lovely lakeside atmosphere, this is the place to come. It's worth noting that smoking is permitted on the cottage patios, which my husband enjoyed. You won’t find more accommodating and friendly management in central NY. The cottages themselves are charming and well-maintained.

My family stayed here to celebrate my graduation from college. We loved hanging out by the beach and had a wonderful time staying here for the weekend. The property is nice. The rooms are cozy and very clean. I liked that they also had all the supplies that you need in case you forget some thing from cleaning supplies, dishes, microwave, stove, full fridge, coffee pots and everything. The staff was great too. Staff member Laurie was so kind and helpful specifically. She went above and beyond to assist us with whatever we needed and made sure we were comfortable the entire stay. Definitely would come back again and recommend to others.
