Reviews summary
Nestled by the river in Sylva, this charming brewery offers a rustic, inviting atmosphere with ample indoor and outdoor seating, including a scenic patio perfect for dog owners and train watchers. The extensive beer selection focuses on hoppy and dark varieties, appealing to a range of tastes, though hop lovers might find it especially rewarding. Friendly, patient staff enhance the experience with tastings and recommendations. While no on-site food is served, nearby eateries and food trucks fill that gap. With a relaxed vibe, great service, and a picturesque location, it’s a local favorite well worth visiting.

Sich a cute little brewery. They have kind of a mountain-rustic theme going on, with a beautiful little patio outside next to the river. Location is also great--next door to several great restaurants and to where the train stops. The beer menu here is a little IPA-heavy for my taste, but they still have a good variety and I was able to find something good to drink. The bartender very patiently let me try several samp... What Bill M dislikes about Innovation Brewing:
Great atmosphere, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful service. The interior space is inviting and comfortable. The selection is pretty vast with hoppy and dark dominating the board. I didn't see any food options. As for the beers, you know my routine, reader beware, these comments are based on Bill's tastes and opinions. In summary, I couldn't drink any of the 6 hoppy beers on my flight. I... As for the beers, you know my routine, reader beware, these comments are based on Bill's tastes and opinions. In summary, I couldn't drink any of the 6 hoppy beers on my flight. I've never left that much beer at a place. Not one beer appealed to me. I'd go back and try the darker options, but based on what I had, I'm not hopeful. I can't recommend this place, but that's based on MY taste in beer. You might love it

Excellent brewery in downtown Sylva. Has an amazing outdoor area right on the river and also a covered porch if you want something quieter. Beer selection is fabulous and you can bring in your own food. Grab a burger from next door and get a table by the river to watch the fireflies come to life at dusk!!
We're been to both the Dillsboro and the Sylva locations and we definitely like the Sylva location better. The parking is better in Dillsboro though. This place isn't going to wow you with all the latest tech. It's a local place and it excels at that. They have plenty of beer to choose from and plenty of seating. The service is great. You walk up to the counter and order your brew. It's not fancy. There is pizza next door. There is a bunch of indoor and outdoor seating. It's charming and rustic. The beer is fresh and tasty. Win, win, win, win, win.
We thought it was the best brewery in Sylva. Very chill atmosphere with a great patio near the creek. I enjoyed both the Sylva Haze and Soulvation IPA's. Can't go wrong with either of them. They had a couple of guys playing live music on Sat night which was a bonus. Good food options with the Cosmic Carry Out (which we tried and enjoyed and the pizza place next door (we didn't try it....but plenty of others around us sure did . Popular place....try it....you'll like it :

Finding the entrance to the brewery was somewhat challenging, but once I got inside, the warm ambiance and welcoming service easily compensated for it. The extensive variety of beers, combined with the charming rustic decor and outdoor seating by the river, made it a standout experience during my birthday celebration in the area.

So many good beers out of this brewery. Soulvation IPA is very good. Great atmosphere and cool bartenders. A must visit if you’re in the area.
Lots of great options. We had the black ipa. Very good. Great spot to stop and enjoy a good beer on the way to the casino! We will be back!
The restaurant offers a great variety of beers and a tasty tasting flight. I'm certain that Chris and Robert, who just finished the Appalachian Trail, would really appreciate this establishment.

First time visiting the Town of Sylvia and saw Innovation. It looked like a happening place for a Monday and had to stop for a pint. The brewtenders were super friendly and knowledgeable. My pint of choice was the Peach-a-Peno based on theirrecommendations and it was perfect with just the right amount of heat! If you find yourself in Western Carolina definitely stopand grab pint. You will love not only the brew, but also the atmosphere. Cheers!!!
Outside seating next to the river was amazing. Stopped by for a burger from the perfect food truck outside the bar. Lovely selection of beers on tap!
During our overnight stay in Sylva, we ventured into the downtown area near our motel and discovered a fantastic bar with an impressive selection of beers. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were very friendly. We began our night there and then made our way back to our motel, stopping at various other places along the strip to explore more options. This bar will surely be our preferred spot for our next visit to Sylva.
This restaurant offers a unique and impressive selection of beers, and the fact that you can sample six in a flight is fantastic. The staff was outstanding, even though it was quite busy with trivia night. There are plenty of food options available, including a food truck and a nearby pizza place. The location by the river is lovely, with ample outdoor seating to enjoy the view. They also have a great range of merchandise. We will definitely be coming back!
Wow! The atmosphere here is incredible! I absolutely love the vibe—it's definitely one of the best I've encountered. The beer was tasty, though I wish it had been served colder. The standout feature of this brewery is its lovely location by a creek, enhanced by the beautiful Tennessee weather. The service was excellent as well. It's a must-visit if you're in the area!
