My partner... read more We were traveling back from Geiranger and we stopped to do a mountain hike as we were leaving so though food in Valldal on the way home seemed ideal. My partner is from there so he knew the town but we couldn’t find anywhere particularly that we wanted to eat so settled on Kulå bowling and a trusty burger. We waited 40 mins for two burgers and chips. The place had an air of not cleaned properly around it, the table we were sitting at was sticky and nothing seemed particularly nice. It seemed old, dated and tired. The music was about twenty years old, it was like stepping back in time. The thing we thought might save it was our burgers, which looked amazing in the pictures but were so disappointing. They tasted of nothing, and everything they used seemed like the cheapest possible version of it. Everything was tasteless and I had two onion rings on the side and they just tasted of cheap oil. My partner had asked for onion ring instead of chili cheese bites but just got two mozarella sticks instead, which he didn’t eat. I used to work in a cafe making food and I know I’ve made better burgers than this and for the price of these it was a rip off. 540kr for two burgers and chips with drinks, which I wouldn’t have minded paying had they been delicious.
