Friesenkate - Sylt

We are starving at the friesenkate. is located directly on the central shopping street in sylt and you can sit inside and outside. inside it is very old-fashioned and was not very welcoming at the first sight. but the music fits and the staff was also very friendly and attentive. the fish and noodle dishes were very tasty, the carving could have been better but in all to recommend! the price/performance ratio is true for all cases.

The bedinung was extremely nice and the food was very delicious. on the map there is a bit of everyone.

Sat outside and can't say anything about the interior. faster and very friendly service and really good fish. happy again!

20 years ago we were the first time in the friesenkate in westerland with our children. more or less per coincidence. the sons, meanwhile grown up, are still swarming from the restaurant today.Now again on sylt, we were looking for the frying cats - and then were there on three of five days to dinner. still a dream of hamburger pannfisch in senfsauce with bratkartoffeln. the sauce could pick a man with the back of the dish....I found the freshly roasted North Sea butter choir with bratkartoffeln. huge portion with fantastic taste. as a "sylter dream" this is offered: roasted red-bark fillet, fried butter fish steak, garnel from the grill without a dish, served on pikatne sauce, with bratkartoffeln. Unfortunately, the bratkartoffels were always very fat-driving. this was the only criticism.In spite of that, you should try the homemade sylter grütze with vanilla sauce.The service is very nice and fast, in the restaurant a place at the window is highly recommended. but also in the rear area you sit very comfortable. the restaurant is very inexpensive. our tip for westerland on sylt.

Centrally located local with rustic ambiente. kitchen at good level, service also at full local and garden on the height.
