I normally don't venture out of the typical Mexican or Italian food. Lol. This is the second time I've been here, the food is delicious, and the owner lady is very kind. The place is clean, and parking can be a little bit of a challenge. Cash only!!! definitely coming back more often. The green sauce is fire, spicy goodness. View all feedback.
What Christian G doesn't like about Las Llamas Pollos:
We ordered lomo Saltado and it was quite expensive compared to other places. Regardless, the quality of the food was what we had a problem with. Also, the place is cash only so beware. I would recommend going somewhere else. View all feedback.
Came here last minute before closing and the lady working by herself greeted us with excellent service. She served us lomo saltado it was delicious, it came in a large portion for a very low price. Definitely coming back great food and great service !Food: 5/5
We ordered lomo saltado, and it turned out to be quite pricey compared to other restaurants. However, our main issue was with the quality of the food. Additionally, it's important to note that the restaurant only accepts cash. I would suggest considering another option.
Was hoping to discover a hole in the wall for good Peruvian chicken. Sadly when they opened their chickens were not ready. Starting disappointed I tried to stay pumped and ordered the lomo Saltado and fried rice instead. Both were good nothing exceptional. Service was good they served us fresh juices which were sweet but refreshing. A little turned off by hearing a microwave during meal prep and the cost. Not sure if I'll come back to try what I originally came for. Cash only. Minimal English. Small parking lot in strip mall.
This review covers my experiences at Las Llamas (which translates to "flames," not the animal that resembles an alpaca). I've visited this restaurant numerous times and believe it’s unfair to judge the food based solely on its neighborhood. The cuisine is outstanding. If you enjoy Lomo Saltado, be sure to request it juicy; otherwise, they may serve it drained to enhance its presentation. The Tallarín Verde is both creamy and delightful, with the meat adding a burst of flavor. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the chicken chicharrones, and the soups are excellent, though I can’t recall their names. When evaluating Peruvian restaurants, I focus on their Aji chili sauce and Papa a la Huancaina. The Aji is slightly spicier than necessary, but it's really tasty. The sauce on the Papas a la Huancaina is so good that it will leave you wanting more. You might feel tempted to order takeout, but the flavors are elevated when enjoyed right there on-site. I only wish I lived closer to this fantastic restaurant.
I usually stick to classic Mexican or Italian cuisine, but I had to step outside my comfort zone. This is my second visit to this restaurant, and I must say, the food is fantastic! The owner is incredibly kind, and the place is well-maintained. Parking can be a bit tricky, though, so keep that in mind. Also, it’s cash only! I’ll definitely be coming back more often. The green sauce is amazing—spicy and absolutely delicious!
