Great, friendly service! The guacamole is chunky and had lots of cilantro, sprinkled with roasted red pepper and some tomatoes. The tradition margarita was ok. The salsa had the consistency of stewed tomatoes. We asked for more bc we wanted to try it a little spicier. The chips were light, thin and warm. The pesto-jalapeño quesadillas were delicious, the diced tomatoes the dish was served with were not so appetizing. Also there was no kick/no heat. The Caribbean salad with chicken was delicious. The music was very old, enjoyable nonetheless.
Delicious happy hour at Jalapeños! Everything was so amazing, we enjoyed everything so much can’t wait for our next visit. We enjoyed: House Margaritas and chips salsa Mejillones en Salsa Mussels in red sauce Stuffed jalapeno peppers with chicken and cheese Alcachofas Salteadas Artichoke hearts sauteed in olive oil Solomillo de Cerdo al Jerez Pork tenderloin in a sweet cream sauce The bar was packed when we arrived, around 5:40 pm. Half of our time was a loud and vibrant atmosphere and the other half was quiet and lovely. The staff was pleasant, helpful and gave us the delicious recommendation of the red sauce for the mussels. So good! Thanks again Jalapeños for taking such good care of us.
Was on the way to Rehoboth, DE and was stopping at the Dollar Tree. Decided to have lunch here at Jalapenos. Great place. Very clean. Wonderful service and food.
Been coming here for a couple of years and usually show up casually dressed and have never been denied or told anything about a dress code until today . In 85 degree heat I have never worn anything other then a tank top here. The host at the frontentrance was insulting the moment my foot passed the front door. we have always been kind to this establishment and tipped well.I was surprised and disappointed that during lunch hours my family would be treated so poorly. if the tank top was such an issuehe could have easily put my family in the bar area. unfortunately we will not be back.
Not impressed. Mediocre service. Small portions. No real sides with the meals. Small protein portions. Chicken burrito was all rice and beans and had to search for the chicken. $5.25 to add one scoop of quest to top of burrito. $6.50 for chips. Flavorswere okay. Tacos were good but small. Enchiladas were good. But all of it was quite pricey. Won?t be back.
