You may be to young to remember when fast food was actually tasty and inexpensive but this roadside take out stand captures the feel, flavor and memory's of getting a burger with my grandfather as a child. The service here is second to none. The food is prepared as ordered not held under lamps or in a steam tray which brings the quality of their menu items to top notch. The ice cream and milkshakes add a sweet finish to any meal they have on the menu,this includes fresh fried clams not strips! A must visit for any passers-by to enjoy a classic meal at the picnic tables.

Wonderful food. Has long bee. A Cape Breton destination. Very SMALL soda drinks I would be embarrassed to serve so little. That is my only complaint. Love everything else just hate soda size.

Going to the Tasty Treat and not getting a softserve chocolate dipped cone with all manner of toppings is madness. Burgers are for McLovin's, get yourself an ice treat son.

My husband and I visited this restaurant last week for a quick meal and tried the cheeseburger and fries platter. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. The burger had a red sauce and onions on it, which was labeled as "the works", but we found it unappetizing. The fries were nothing special, just generic frozen ones, and the burger itself was bland. We do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
