Staff very attentive but curries were very bland and not enough. Shame. Came here 9 years ago and it was very nice but think its different owners now.
Very disappointing experience. We had to wait a long time for our food, and when it arrived, it had very little flavour and was quite bland. The quality did not match our expectations, especially considering the wait. Overall, the food was disappointing, and I would not return or recommend this restaurant based on this visit.
Pretty good here, I got the mis mas which is basically a mix of meats in a medium dry curry. The chilli chicken was tasty and spicy. Unfortunately the lamb chops were slightly too done for me, was burnt outside but also really tough in the middle. Overall would get the spicy and curry dishes next time but good spot nevertheless. Also I had ordered delivery but the bag was soaked with the grease from the curry which was quite unfortunate, but I would give the benefit of the doubt to the fault of the delivery driver.
I went to this restaurant years and years ago with staff from Royal Bolton Hospital when it was called Indian Valley. We got recommended by a nurse called Anita Jugdey who knew the family. Fast forward to present day, I decided to have a takeaway on New Year's Day. I ordered chicken jalfrezi, pilau rice and a garlic naan. The actual pilau rice was outstanding as it contained the garam massala in the rice for example star anise, cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks. The chicken was succulent and cooked perfectly. The actual jalfrezi sauce was expertly cooked, the spices were there but not overpowering. It was a delicate mix. As you would imagine the jalfrezi was hot with a punchy kick. Maybe I'm so used to Westernised naan because this was my only disappointment. It was very thin. The garlic naan I'm used to is quite doughy. Perhaps the authentic naan should be quite thin? This is not a criticism by the way, merely an observation. Would I go back? Absolutely too right! It was the best authentic jalfrezi I have had in a very long time. Happy New Year
