The ambiance here is fantastic! Truly feels like someone 's country home, from deco, to the friendly welcome. The food is good, nothing spectacular, but portions are HUGE! But, it may be good to expect closer to restaurant prices as compared to diner prices ! Also, no credit cards--cash only! The cutest place I've ever been! As soon as my daughter and I arrived, we were enchanted by the atmosphere. There were charming little pigs all around—not real ones, but dolls and statues thoughtfully placed throughout the restaurant. The decor really captured a countryside vibe, especially with our delicious breakfasts served in skillets. It's a fantastic spot! I would definitely return every time we visit the Poconos. Thank you!
We are visiting the area and were looking for a great homemade breakfast. We discovered Hickory Valley Farm Restaurant, and I have to say, their corned beef hash is exceptional—it's taken my love for it to a whole new level! They prepare it from scratch. My husband ordered the chipped beef, and it was perfect as well! Our server, Mabel, was friendly and had a great sense of humor. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. We also enjoyed a lovely conversation with her!
The atmosphere here is wonderful! It genuinely feels like someone's country home, from the decor to the warm welcome. The food is decent—nothing overly impressive—but the portions are massive! Just keep in mind that the prices are more aligned with a restaurant rather than a diner. Also, they only accept cash (there's an ATM on the premises). I definitely want to return at least once more with family or friends to try the sharing-sized "Big Bad Wolf"! Overall, I really appreciate the charm of this place for a cozy breakfast or lunch!
Every time we are in the Poconos, we stop by this place for breakfast. It is delicious and has lovely decor. And they serve everything in a frying pan. Only drawbacks are: it gets busy and it is cash only.
We finally got in! They are always so packed and now I know why. All their food is homemade and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Cornbeef Hash, it's amazing!!
