The restaurant was highly recommended. A hidden gem in a neighborhood off the beaten path--local place, well worth the visit. The pace is small and cozy, clean, including the bathrooms. The food is from scratch, fresh and delicious. Large portions on the food and the menu has a good variety of items. They don't scrimp on the ingredients in the tacos either. Not greasy. What ksbk2018 doesn't like about La Casita:
Came here with family of 4 for dinner, its clearly popular among the locals. Its off the beaten path in a rough part of Alpine. Restaraunt is run down not very clean, condensation dripping from the ceiling above our table. Ripped seats in the booth. Then turns out they only take cash, so it's nice they ask you to give them your license but then get in the car to drive away to try and find atm This is a rare time I'd recommend a chain restaurant over independently owned. Move on, I think others just think they are authentic due to it being run down and in the ghetto. Sometimes that just really means it's not good.
We had a large group, and this place is small, so we actually did a take out order. It was still hot! We all ordered something different, and every dish was flavorful. Only draw back..bring cash, they don't take cards.

Would highly recommend. Food is excellent and fast friendly service. It is in a residential area, but dont let apperances stop you. It is great! It is cash only.
Beef enchiladas were awesome and tacos were tasty. Great find as we traveled through Alpine. Don’t let the location scare you!
