What User doesn't like about Toby Carvery Cockleshell:
During my recent visit, I found the food to be dry and lukewarm. I frequent this restaurant often, but it seems that the Sunday carvery has become inconsistent. I had requested to sit closer to the food area when I made my reservation, but ended up sitting far away, which was quite disappointing. Really enjoyed everything about the experience. The food was really tasty and plentiful. The waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was so comfy and not too busy.
Staff were polite and gave excellent customer service. Our waiter had a trainee and he was very thorough and patient explaining procedures to him. Very fast efficient service.
Have to book to go so I booked for 3pm. Yet they must of over booked, so the queue for food was over a 30min wait. Booking for 3pm, sat down to eat at 4:30pm. Crazy.
Meat was well cooked. Wide variety of veg, however some of the veg ,peas and carrots in particular, had been under the hot lights too long and we’re drying up
Excellent food at the cockleshell the waitress was superb she give the wife and I the best service 100 o/o can’t wait to return Peter thomas
