Popular place with walking groups and clientele from the two neighbouring campsites. They’ve got WiFi here which is a bonus as there is zero phone reception on the valley. One local ale on tap. Friendly staff. Basic but decent food. Clean toilet. Nice beer garden. View all feedback.
What L doesn't like about Tafarn-y-garreg Pub And Camping:
Not a pub in my opinion, has more of a home vibe with a bar attached. Great if you want an Amstel or Heineken (no Heineken when we got there) after a long hike but I’d expect a pub to have some decent ales. Glasses were chilled which was good but both dirty with what looked like rust on the bottom. An unusual place, has the potential to be an absolutely gem of a pub in a prime location View all feedback.

Went to the bar for food whilst in the area. Food was fresh and tasty, and what a homely comfortable atmosphere. Owners were really nice and welcoming too glad to find this place
Have been here several times. Roadside location, good parking, outdoor sunny seating, friendly staff, have eaten there several evenings after walking. Well kept range of draught and bottled beers as well as wine and soft drinks. Check the website for opening hours in week days
Not the best facility on camp site but usable. Running water in the shower. There's a toilet over at the pub for number 2s. The porta loo has no running water so shower to wash your hands or remember sanitiser. Nice river sound by the campsite Excellent location to explore Breacon further afield. Pub has warm food, quite expensive for what it is I'm my opinion. The gentleman who runs the pub wads friendly and talkative.
