Greggs Heron Way - Swansea

I stopped by Greggs for a chicken and stuffing roll, and when I got home, I planned to enjoy it with a coffee. However, when I opened it, I was very disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic bakers! I've been coming here since I was a little kid. I love their breakfast roll and drink deal—it's truly outstanding! It's just a shame that it ends at 11 o'clock; I'm sure they would sell a lot more if offered all day. I definitely give this place 5 stars. Oh, and the staff is great—very friendly and helpful, always providing super fresh products!

The service was excruciatingly slow, unless, of course, you were a friend of the blonde lady with glasses who was working at 10:30 AM on January 19, 2024, and wanted to chat about various topics. To be honest, I didn't appreciate the way she interacted with a young man in front of me. When he asked for a pasty, she found his request amusing and smirked at the blonde lady. After he left, she began serving the next customer but abruptly stopped, resting her elbows on the counter, cupping her face in her hands, and starting an extensive conversation. It seemed that if you were a friend, you got complimentary extras—not to mention a blank collector's card that she would fill out for you while you waited. I turned to the guy behind me, who looked at me, rolled his eyes, and I said loud enough for others to hear, "Maybe we should have a conversation about how our day is going to pass the time while we wait." Eventually, it was my turn to be served, and she greeted me with a curt "Yes?" Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I regret stopping at this location.

The woman who was cooking had her mouth wide open while chewing gum, and there were many portions of bacon nearby. It was quite unappetizing and off-putting.

I had breakfast and coffee this morning, and a wonderful lady served me. She prepared everything herself and was very attentive. She truly deserves double the recognition and a medal for her excellent service!
