Papa Johns Pizza - Swansboro

During my visit, there was a terrible storm that caused many systems to be grounded. However, despite the chaos, the staff treated us wonderfully and made every effort to ensure we had a great experience.

The pizza was enjoyable until our local economy took a turn for the worse. Like many places affected by the economic crisis, the prices have increased and the quantity of toppings has decreased. The crust had a minimal hand-tossed edge, bordering on just being thin. I felt compelled to write this review because of the new pizza offerings. I ordered the Italian pizza, but I was disappointed. I had received an email introducing the new product, and I regret not reading it carefully. I mistakenly thought it was some sort of pasta, but it turned out to be pizza bites served in a plastic pan. The high price is largely due to the excessive packaging involved—a bowl, a sleeve for the bowl, and a box to hold everything together. To make matters worse, the dish came without any bread! At the very least, some garlic knots should have been included for the price. I ended up tearing off the crust edges of my pizza to eat with the bowl, and I placed the rest on top of the pizza. Unfortunately, no non-stick spray was used, so most of the cheese stuck to the bottom. Additionally, there was an overload of oil from the bell peppers. I can't recommend this dish, especially for the price. Lastly, while I do enjoy Italian sausage, I prefer the mild variety. It would be great if PJs offered sweet or mild sausage as a topping option instead of just the spicy version.

The restaurant is in a fantastic location with excellent management. The food is consistently delicious, the delivery is quick, and they handle any issues very effectively.

I called to place our order, it was ready when I arrived to pick up. they were a little slow, they obviously trained a new individual for the counter.

The food is always good but I need to compliment your drivers, especially Robert! We ordered about 10pm on Friday night and it took awhile to get to us, apparently a driver walked off the job and others had to pick up his slack. Robert called to ensure us that our order hadn't been forgotten and he was hurrying y'all it was 11pm and this man was SO. NICE. Not only was he kind, he was professional in spite of having a rough shift in addition to having to deal with drunk hungry people. And our food was still hot! I don't know that I would have had the same positive and shiny disposition had I had a shift like his. Give him a raise!PS can I request drivers?? ?
