We came to this restaurant to celebrate my grandson's birthday. The food was enjoyable and the young waitresses were lovely. However, the owners of the pub were rude. The lady who owned the pub tried to take our plates away before we were finished, and then became rude and raised her voice. We all paid separately, but they were aware of this when we made the booking and still came across as rude and arrogant. The food was good, but the atmosphere for my grandson's 10th birthday was ruined. Thank you, but if you are having a bad day, please don't ruin someone else's. We will not be returning here for this reason.

The restaurant was charming, with a friendly welcome and delicious food (both classic traditional dishes and specials, all homemade) at affordable prices. The cozy outside garden had a quintessentially English Cottage style with atmospheric wood burners. We were impressed by the attentive service and warm atmosphere. Although we didn't take any pictures, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

What a cracking village pub, a hidden away gem, well worth a visit. Excellent menu and a good choice of ales. Lovely garden and plenty of parking.
