Our initial experience was good, we were quickly shown to our... read more On Fathers Day, I managed to get a last minute reservation for 4 at 4pm, which I was grateful for. Our initial experience was good, we were quickly shown to our table , handed menu's and were served with drinks....then within a short time our food order was taken, from that point the service seriously went down hill...considering the resteraunt was not even half full we waited for over an hour for 2 roast dinners and 2 steak meals. Although the long wait the food was very good... within a short time the plates were cleared and we waited for someone to come to the table with the dessert menu, this never happened, we waited a further 45 minutes before getting them and that was only because my father went to the toilet and asked for them, at this point there was only 2 tables occupied in the resteraunt, ours being one of them...we again had to wait quite a while for the desserts to arrive and when they did we only received 3.....eventually we got the attention of a waitress and said we was short a dessert so she went off and in a short time it arrived only to be served in a cereal bowl and looked like it had just been tossed in and some cream was squirted on top.... Whilst finishing up my wife left a comment on the pubs Facebook page commenting on the poor service ...when we went to the bar to pay the bill we found a couple of the waitresses reading the post and whilst we were paying one of them then started looking through my wife's Facebook page, I know this because I could see a picture of my son and i on her phone..... I find this totally unacceptable and unprofessional... Our overall experience took 2½ hours for 2 courses we didnt even get offered coffee, we wouldn't of had time even if we had time even Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
