What hellymcg doesn't like about Plough Harrow:
I can’t talk for the restaurant but a relative of mine said that they had an awful take away from here but as I had heard so many good reviews off people I wanted to try for myself… Wish I hadn’t! My partner had some first and said it was awful greasy! The couscous looked awful and the chicken was watery! I literally ate the hummus and that was it! The rest was just disgusting! An expensive mistake! View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty, made with fresh ingredients and full of homemade flavors. The baklava is the best we've ever had, even after visiting Greece many times. Highly recommended. The only suggestion would be to turn up the Greek music a bit and provide better heating in the restroom.
We attended an ABBA Tribute night for a Christmas party at a cost of £35, which included a glass of bubbly upon arrival, food, and entertainment. We arrived at 7pm and enjoyed kebabs with lamb, chicken, and vegetables, delicious garlicky potatoes, and baklava for dessert. The ABBA tribute act was fantastic, with two performers who really engaged the audience. There weren't many people in attendance, which provided plenty of space but lacked some atmosphere. Drinks were a bit pricy, with £8 for a glass of wine and generous Greek measures for shorts. Similar to Greece, guests were asked not to flush paper down the toilets. We were disappointed that the entertainment ended at 9:30-10pm, just as we were getting into the groove. Although some Christmas songs were played, they were too quiet for dancing. Overall, it was a good experience but we wished the entertainment had lasted longer.
We had a fantastic dining experience at this cozy restaurant with attentive staff who were great with kids. The food was delicious with generous portions, but we were surprised by the high price of soft drinks. We were charged £45 for 9 large cokes, which seemed excessive at £5 per glass. Despite this, we enjoyed our evening and would consider sticking to tap water on our next visit.
What a lovely restaurant, very friendly staff, compliments to the chef the food was excellent .will definitely visit again
Great place to eat. The food was amazing, portions are very generous. The fireplaces made the place cosy and gave it the right atmosphere. The service was excellent too. Definitely will be back very soon.
