The Tug Restaurant is a must to visit food, right next to the sea. You can enjoy your meal while watching the hypnotic wave crash against the rocks. The food is delicious and fresh. It's my new favorite place to have fresh fish in Swakopmund. The service was on site, true friendly service with a smile. Definitely enjoyed it there, found me staring in the ocean after the delicious meal. The chef cooks with his heart. View all feedback.
Everything about this restaurant is exceptional—service, atmosphere, and food. I completely understand why it's necessary to make a reservation in advance. The quality is evident in every aspect. We visited from the UK and have already made plans to return. Highly recommended!
This restaurant boasts an ideal location with stunning sea views, a wide variety of menu options, and delicious cocktails alongside mouthwatering dishes. While it is on the pricier side, it’s perfect for special occasions. Given its popularity and constant crowds, I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Additionally, I suggest starting or ending your visit with a stroll on the Jetty.

I always enjoy the Tug. There is a reason you need to book in advance for dinner. Having a sundowner there is just as good. Oysters are good and Drinks are very affordable with a view over the desert and the sea and the jetty.
The ambience and views are on steroids. The food sumptuous. Great menu. A wee bit understaffed. Need a few more waitrons. The front of house guy (maitre d) who assisted us in the Captains table was an excellent friendly n professional host.
