The Black Horse Restaurant Bar

Had a lovely evening out here celebrating my friends birthday. The venue was lovely old and modern at the same time. It was also small so made the whole experience more intimate. The food was excellent they obviously have a very good chef. I would love to go back for another special occasion.

We must hav hit this restaurant on an off night. The menu was very limited and not well thought out. Had based decision to go to this pub based on previous reviews, but was sadly very disappointed. Wil not be returning. We do eat out quite frequently are willing to pay for good food and service.

Black Horse Appleby Magna. Limited menu and combinations not well thought out. The steak ordered was well overdone and more than 8 chips and some more garnish would not go amiss cost extra for a full portion of chips..After reading reviews maybe having an off night but will not be returning.

Really good food at the black horse, v pleasant atmosphere, in a off the beaten track location that is worth making the effort for ignore the buildng works, inside its much better

Despite extensive exterior improvements going on to the building, business went on as normal at the Black Horse. Normal being, excellent food, excellent service and excellent atmosphere. it is one of my favourite places, as it can always relied upon to deliver a really good evening. The guests that we took with us agreed that the food is exceptional, cooked and presented with pride. Love it!
