This is such a cool ? place. NY subway themed bathrooms with train stops sounds inside. ambiance was warm and inviting. Server was so nice to our child. Wish they had some crayons or some paper for the kids. The NY style thin pizza wasn't that exciting. The crust was very cracker-like and not doughy. I didn't like it that much. The bottom of the pizza was bland and didn't have that cornmeal type bottom that I've had... View all feedback.
What Hadi Mokdad doesn't like about Two Cities Pizza Co.:
Host greeting is warm, quick and welcoming, the sever was on point with the hospitality steps and the check back. However, theNY style pizza was a major disappointment. Frankly the end product of the $6 pizza from quick trip has a better presentation and taste than what they got here.Cooks and managers should have a better product to work with for a good pizza product. Our waiter was amazing!! His name was Alex, but overall super good food and great service. Definitely recommend this place!!
Service is good!Vegetarian options: Potato pizza and the fries are the best.
Relaxed vibes and delicious pizza. The only thing missing was giardianera for the pizza to be truly Chicago
A Deep Dish Disaster!First Impressions:Arguably the worst deep dish pizza and service I 've experienced in years!Where do I start? Let me start with the good stuff first. This was mine and some other family members ' first time. The atmosphere was great. We were greeted promptly when we first arrived. The restaurant had a nice decor and overall vibe.Service Struggles:The staff was so-so. We had a small misunderstanding on the free kids ' pizza and it wasn 't handled with a great deal of decorum.Erin! I hate to blast people out by name, and maybe this just wasn 't her night and/or we just weren 't her group. This should have been one of those rare moments I requested a new server. Erin was not at her best. She was curt and uninterested in helping with simple requests like napkins, refills, etc. (you know, the her job things). The Capone Deep Dish Imposter:My Capone Deep Dish. Don 't let any promotional pictures or anyone fool you--this place does NOT serve deep dish! It 's a Pizza Hut pan pizza with a high side crust. They limit to 4 toppings on a deep dish which is kinda standard. Mostly, it 's only the sausage that has the greatest risk of not cooking through; but if constructed correctly, there 's no problem with a few more toppings. It 's a real joke that olive oil drizzle is considered a topping and Erin would not add it to my pizza order because the Capone would then have more than 4 toppings. I don 't have this issue with Nancy 's pizza and never has my deep dish not been cooked through at Nancy 's.That wasn 't the big problem with my pizza. Mine was brought out looking as pictured (see attached photos) and I wasn 't having it. No way they were about to pass that as a Chicago Deep Dish! I sent it back because she said it would only take 10 minutes to remake. When it took considerably longer and my family was boxing up their leftovers, at that point I had no appetite. When she brought the new pizza back, she visibly had an attitude and dropped the hot pan down on my hand (I moved fast enough to not get burned). At that point...I wasn 't eating or paying for another thing at this restaurant. It was late, the original offer took too long, my pizza couldn 't be made the way I wanted it, and the pizza was laughably made incorrectly, I didn 't want it.The Final Straw:Here 's a kicker—when I told her that I changed my mind and didn 't want anything, she was really fixing her lips to say I couldn 't send it back. I didn 't care to get her reasoning. I had to interrupt her, mid-sentence, to ask her again to get the manager because I was hard stop done with her. I was well frustrated by that time. The conclusion was I didn 't keep or pay for the pizza. The Invisible Manager:My biggest problem is what I 've saved for last. I had requested the GM to come out because we were not getting good service. The server (not Erin) came back and said that he said to tell us that he 's a little busy, and he did not come out! That was the killer for me. Never coming back here again.Final Thoughts:I 'm all for giving places a chance, but this was one chance too many. From the service mishaps to the pizza that couldn 't decide if it was deep dish or deep disappointment, this place missed the mark. I wanted to love it, I really did. But as they say, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice – well, you won 't get the chance. To the Restaurant:You 've got potential, but you lost it in execution. It 's not just about the food; it 's about how you make people feel. And Thursday night? You made me feel like I 'd rather eat anywhere but here.
