Situated in such remote area... read more Just went to restaurant and had great Lunch time. Great food with plenty of veggies options available too. Service was really nice. Situated in such remote area kudos to entire staff for making food available to all visitors. Didn?t get chance to stay atthis place but if we visit Alaska again will definitely stay here. Awesome landscapes and helicopter tours availability fromhere too

The staff was the best I came across the... read more I want to start by saying?Sheep Mountain Lodge was the BEST place I stayed at the whole time I was in Alaska, bar none. The staff was the best I came across the whole trip ? they were all very pleasant and friendly. They were more than willing to helpmake your stay enjoyable. I was on a motorcycle tour. One of my Bucket List items was to walk on a glacier. When I arrived atthe lodge, I saw they had a helicopter and did tours to the glacier. I checked into taking a flight up to the glacier but wastold they were done for the day. I was bummed? Remember, I said the staff was friendly and wanted to help you enjoy you stay,well David I think) saw I was bummed, he made a call, got in touch with Mark owner of lodge/pilot) told him I was looking todo a glacier tour and Mark said sure and off I went. David/Mark could have said, Sorry, we?re done for the day ? but instead,they made it happen and I was able to check an item off my Bucket List. Mark?s knowledge of glaciers was phenomenal, he wasmore than willing to share his knowledge and answer all my questions. My cabin #2 if not mistaken) was fabulous. It has agreat view and after all, the views/sights were the reason I went to Alaska. It?s the view I think of most when I reflex on mytrip. The restaurant was outstanding, with a great selection of dishes. The desert I had was pie and it was made onsite. When I come back to Alaska ? without a doubt, I?ll be going back to Sheep Mountain Lodge!

The cabins are great, location is excellent and the restaurant is the best we had in my entire 2 weeks trip to Alaska, even though we went to 5 stars restaurants. Food is excellentand everyone is super nice. We also took a helicopter ride with the owner to a glacier and landed there next to a amazing bluelake. This was the highlight of my trip. Don?t miss this place, it is superb.

Words can?t even begin to describe how beau... read more My wife and I were on our honeymoon all the way from Erie, PA and we did a helicopter tour that landed on a glacier! Words can?t even begin to describe how beautiful it was. Our pilot and other staff were very kind and made sure we were safe at all times.The pilot even flew us over some moose and bear that we were anxious to see on our honeymoon. Well worth the money !

The guides recommended it and they were not wrong... food was amazing, and yes very possibly the best pie in Alaska!! The staff were fabulous at recommending items for us off the menu, andthe chef obviously takes a lot of pride in the dishes... well done team!!
