Despite tasty breakfast, the overall condition of the hotel needs a major overhaul and thorough cleaning.

We have been here... read more We stayed at this hotel and had Sunday dinner and breakfast. The room was fine, but the water temperature was too low and we had cold showers. We have been here before for Sunday dinner, but this time it was disappointing. The ingredients seemed high quality, but the cooking was not great. The meat was tough, the broccoli was undercooked, and the roasts were hard. The Yorkshire puddings were flat. The only decent items were the cauliflower cheese and peas. Other guests were also complaining about the food. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction, the staff did not apologize or offer any compensation. The Sunday dinner was not worth the price. The breakfast the next day was okay, but the sausage was not what we expected. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning. The hotel room was reasonably priced, but better quality food would make a big difference. We left as unsatisfied customers.

The waitress was efficient and helpful and kept the drinks coming. The desserts were fantastic.

We popped in for coffee in the morning and booked a table for the evening, which was a good move as they were quite busy. There’s a good choice on the menu. We had chicken wings and prawn bombs to start with. Then we had lamb shank and chicken pie which my husband said was outstanding. There’s a nice atmosphere here and the staff are super friendly.
