On entering the place we turned left, into the saloon bar. Perhaps we should have gone right, into the lounge. But who makes the diference, these days? Drinks were fine, food was mediocre, locals were terrible. Any publican should put these loadmouthing drunks outside, to cool down in the rain. But perhaps they are too important in ensuring the continuing existence of the pub.

It was made even more... read more The food at this restaurant was amazing, the service from the staff was friendly, welcoming, and kind, and the atmosphere was delightful. It was made even more special by the fact that the England national football team was playing in the World Championship. Overall, everything was outstanding.

However, the Landlord and Landlady took the trouble of coming outside to advise where I could park which was really helpful. Old fashioned pub with a Public and Saloon bar which is nice. Darts going on one side of the pub and the quiz the other.
