I have no doubt the fish and chip shop is good but for me they could not provide gluten free chips as they cooked everything in same fryer. I understood that but sad i could not have chips.
I went to Chipsmiths this evening and bought haddock and chips for one. It was the very best F C I have had in years. The service was excellent, with a smile, and my dinner was really great. Thanks to the owners I really needed that today!
Love this place. The lady there was really nice and friendly. Fish and chips were good. I had fun paying contactless through the glass window.
First visit today. Will NOT be my last. Gorgeous, flaky white cod, perfectly cooked. Great sausages. Nice chips. Sensible CoVid precautions in place. A really excellent find.
An absolutely first class fish and chip shop. Des, who does the frying, has perfected his craft; the fish is always flaky, never greasy, and the chips are as good as you’ll ever find. Mary, who is front of house, is always smiling and ready to have a chat. Service is quick and prices are very reasonable given the quality of the product. I always order in advance to beat the queues and travel past several other chippies to get here; I simply wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Long live Chipsmiths!
