The best fish and chips shop in Carshalton and quite possibly for a bigger area than that (I come up from Mitcham Junction just to get food from them). The owners (Mary and Des) are wonderful and Mary often does charity runs, marathons and other events for the community. Vegetarian options: The veggie burger is fantastic btw! Other dishes normally available. Service: Take out

I have no doubt the fish and chip shop is good but for me they could not provide gluten free chips as they cooked everything in same fryer. I understood that but sad i could not have chips.
I went to Chipsmiths this evening and bought haddock and chips for one. It was the very best F C I have had in years. The service was excellent, with a smile, and my dinner was really great. Thanks to the owners I really needed that today!
