The Apple Peddler - Sutherlin

This is your typical Diner nothing special. The food was mediocre, at best. I had the soup and salad, which was seafood bisque and a green salad. The soup tasted like it was canned. The salad was basic it had big slices of cucumber on it (which I don't eat) and big slices of carrots, which was awkward and way too crunchy. All in all it was a mediocre experience. I only went there because my parents like it. Not my first choice. The service was okay, though.

We called in to make sure they could acomadte a large party and was told they were slow and it would be fine. When we got there we were treated poorly and asked if we had made a reservation by the person that my husband just talked to with a lot of sas. Then kept sitting other people behind us. The pary in front of us were served their drinks and food before we even got water. Cook by passed our order and wasn't even starting to cook our food after a hour and half being there. We will never go back.

It seems to have changed since it was sold to a new owner. I worked for the company in the late 80s. We had great food and service. I understand times change.

Some of the absolute worst food I have ever had. I ordered the Eggs and steak patty as it is printed on the menu). I realized that it was a hamburger patty but ordered the way it was printed the server snapped at me That 's a Hamburger patty! I told her okay. What I recieved was 2 cold hard fried eggs ordered over easy eggs) and 2 boiled/steamed burger patties no spices and tasted sour and cold toast. Husband order an omelet and it wasn 't any better. Server came back to drop off ticket and left. We paid and left. Noanager to speak to anywhere around. The other thing is the weird bathroom. Toilet is the height for a child and the bottom of the door is right at your knees and the toilet paper is above your head on the wall. It says under new management and shorter hours it was 24 hours from signs posted on the freeway) and it is understandable why there were only 2 cars in the parking lot. Same amount of cars everytime we pass by it.

Excellent food and quick service. Lots of different pies!
