However, exceptional service from friendly staff, delicious homemade food at the restaurant, and great breakfast options redeemed the experience. Despite some setbacks, including dining delays and slow service, the diverse buffet options and attentive staff left a positive impression. Additionally, the revamped decor and interesting history of the location, along with generous portion sizes, added to the unique dining experience. Overall, while the accommodation may not shine, the hospitality and culinary offerings at this establishment make it a worthwhile stop for weary travelers.
We had dinner here. Everything was fresh and tasty. Not much around, so good to find a decent place for fish and chips. We did not have the weekend buffet.
- Foods are homemade and vary from Canadian and Chinese style. Salad bar, deserts, coffee, tea are also included. Alcohol drinks with extra cost. Overall taste: 8/10 -Service: 8/10 -Price: $$ (around 28 with tax and tips)
We had stopped for coffee here in the afternoon and the dinner menu looked good. Unfortunately, we arrived just after a large party ordered dinner in the pub. We were left alone in the dining room for 15 minutes with just water. The waitress finally took our order and then 10 minutes after that, told us about the large group and that our food would be slow. If she had been straight up at the start, we would have gone elsewhere, but after all the waiting, and the need to drive a distance to go somewhere else, we stuck it out.We were quite upset, and the food was not worth the wait. Not worth the drive out of town.
The food was delicious and the serving sizes were large. The supper buffet had a good variety and the food was nice and hot.
Food are homemade, canadian and chinese- 7.9/10 Service is good, family style environment. There is also a bar.
