The Lamp Post Inn - Sussex

I love it here. Family dining vibes. The side room with fireplace can be loud if with a lot of people in there. Also a little dim. But if you want a good meal, this is the place to go. Pasta, steak, chicken shrimp dishes are delish. Fried calamari, burgers, salads. Those are my go-tos. Never a bad dish here. portions are good too! Service isn't always the best. But the food is what brings me back. Pay by cash save !

From the moment I called about outdoor seating and bringing my dog, I was met with kindness and enthusiasm. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was yummy. Nothing over the top but all four dinners were enjoyed. Very enjoyable night and Teddy was happy to be with his people.

My wife and I go here every Saturday night. The food is always good and the staff is excellent! I would recommend The Lamp Post Inn to anyone!

We had our daughters graduation party here yesterday and it was a hit. Roughly 20 people and a few kids. The food and the waiting staff were very good. The roast beef with gravy was some of the best I’ve ever had. Would strongly recommend having any party here

We wanted to find a place near my Sister in law in Wantage for lunch. Looked online and decided to give this place a try. It was excellent. Had the Spinach Salad with grilled shrimp. The friendly waitress recommended the dill dressing. It was delicious. Very large shrimp cooked perfectly. Dessert was Peanut cream Pie. Yum! We were so pleasantly surprised for a what the hell let's just try it place.
