I am quite particular when it comes to dining out, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The service is fast and the prices are reasonable. They are generous with their portions and quick to correct any mistakes in orders. I would even go as far as taking the ferry to get here, but fortunately, it's not necessary. This place definitely outshines Top's. View all feedback.
What Jasmine Davis doesn't like about Chen's Asian Grill:
Well for the past two times I’ve gone now they’ve charged me twice. The first time I paid 10 and some change just for a single thing of fried rice so I ended up paying 22 dollars and the second time was beef and broccoli and general tos which came up to 18 dollars but I got to charged 37 then she told me the second charge should be refunded in two days I’m on day four still haven’t gotten my money back. It's slightly above average Chinese food...prices are also pretty good, especially considering the portions and amount of protein/veg they add in food. Was a bit disappointed they didn't have fried oysters (as advertised online) or BBQ spare ribs (wasn't advertised online). I'm nit picking a bit, but egg rolls could have been improved by adding carrots and inside environment could be revamped a bit. Waitress/phone lady/hostess was very busy but very nice.
Holy moly this place is amazing. We moved here last year and we’ve tried multiple Chinese food places in Williamsburg which have sucked big time. Well this place is great standard American Chinese food similar to the places I’m used to in the north east. It’s fresh and delicious. I didn’t have high expectations for a small place in Surry, definitely pleasantly surprised! The sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, egg rolls and bean curd were particularly tasty. The veggies were also crisp and vibrant.

This Chinese restaurant is quite good. The food has a slight Americanized flavor, but is still enjoyable. I was disappointed that the Hibachi items were no longer on the menu, but the meat was fresh and well seasoned. The prices are fair and there is ample seating available.
