The hotpots here are amazing and very affordable! Even when ordered as takeout, the food still tastes great. Although I'm not a huge fan of their bubble tea, I highly recommend the Kimchi Tofu Pot! View all feedback.

What Sariya Vafina dislikes about Tofun Pot:
The experience was quite disappointing. While the soups had decent flavor, they were lacking in substance. I ordered the seafood hotpot, which included just two shrimp with veins, one mussel, udon noodles, a quarter of a bok choy, and some meat—all for $16, which feels incredibly overpriced. As for the taiyaki, it was merely two pieces of frozen puff pastry pressed together. Overall, I found the value to be very disa... View all feedback.

The food was tasty and the portion sizes were generous, but I felt the prices were a bit higher than other bubble tea Asian restaurants I've visited. The service was minimal, restricted to taking our order and serving the food. About halfway through, I started to feel quite full and bloated, so I decided to take the leftovers home. Unfortunately, I ended up skipping dinner that night because I felt uncomfortable. The next day, when I had the leftovers, I felt unwell again. My friend, who doesn't have the same dietary sensitivities, remarked that the dish had a slightly garlicky taste. That made me think it could have been from the hot sauce. I reached out to Tofun Pot via Google Chat that evening to clarify the ingredients, as most restaurants I’ve dined at usually check their sauces and bases if asked. I now realize I should have thought to inquire about it before placing my order. Unfortunately, I was left on 'read' twice without any response. After a week, I reached out for a third time. It was disappointing that it took them eight days to finally reply, informing me that their spicy powder does not contain onion or garlic. Overall, if you're in South Surrey and crave Asian food without any dietary concerns, Tofun Pot might be worth a try. However, I’m giving them one star due to their poor communication after my visit. Being left on 'read' felt dismissive, especially since they initially responded quickly. I sensed a lack of transparency and honesty, raising concerns about possible cross-contamination, especially since it was my only meal that day and I experienced bloating and sickness afterward. Ultimately, their customer service did not meet my expectations, and I hope they focus on improving it.

The food was quite good, but the service fell short over the weekend because of a server shortage. The ingredients were fresh, and the meal had a pleasant balance of flavors. The Korean wings really stood out as a highlight. Although the chicken could have used a bit more seasoning, the kimchi BBQ pork was amazing. I will definitely return for takeout!

To wrap up our meal, we took some bubble tea to go, and it was a refreshing treat after such a flavorful dining experience. The service was commendable as well; our waitress was prompt and attentive, ensuring we were enjoying our food. She even provided scissors to help cut the beef ribs into manageable pieces. We were happy to leave a tip that reflected the thoughtful service and delicious meal we had. One area for improvement would be the attention to cleaning details. The restaurant is generally clean, thanks to the steady flow of customers, but there are some spots that could use a deep clean to avoid any distractions. For instance, corners and napkin dispensers could benefit from regular maintenance to create a more positive impression for diners. Nevertheless, these are minor issues that don't significantly detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend Tofun Pot and will definitely be returning!
