What Diya Sharma doesn't like about Spice Of Nepal:
We usually come here but this time we got disappointed with the quality of food. We always order tandoori momos and we did the same thing today but this time they were totally soggy and soft usually tandoori items are famous for crispiness and also the yellow sauce was a bit smelly. Visited Spice of Nepal (SON) after many years.I wish this place had a few more traditional dishes in additionto momos. We ordered karahi chicken, chicken hakka noodles, garlic naan, tandoori rottis with a side of ice cold Corona beer! The service was very homely and polite. The food was great and tasted delicious!!
Five of us gathered for a going away lunch for a couple of friends. It was my first and one other friend’s first taste of Nepal food. The two of us didn’t know what to order, so we asked the waitress for recommendations. She suggested we try a combo lunch, which was a choice from the chilli meats section and the fried rice or noodle section. I opted for the chilli chicken with fried rice, mild heat and my friend wants to try chilli chicken with noodles, mild heat as well. We sat, waited patiently for over 30 minutes, finally the food came. Our combo lunch was served in a medium size bowl (6” with a large serving spoon! The chilli chicken consisted of approximately 6 or 7 pieces of meat, lots of onions, and some peppers…all mixed in a bright red sweet and sour sauce. The pieces of meat tasted like pork, it was hard, dried, and very chewy! It’s almost like a bad version of Chinese sweet and sour lean pork! I asked the waitress if she ordered pork by mistake, she said no, it’s chicken. The fried rice was decent, made with mixed vegetables, still a little hot for my taste. My friend’s portion tasted the same but a lot hotter (wanted mild for his taste. The overall experience was not good! The food was definitely not made fresh or recently.

I have been there a few days ago. There was a girl named Aliza .. .. she served us.. she was super nice and her customer service was exceptional.. this is one of my favourite restaurants, although their service is ok but for the first time in there it was amazing because of her.. All thanks to Aliza..
