the personal is super friendly and very welcoming. the crabs and chesss were amazing. the cod was not so great. the teig was really amazing, but the fish inside was hard and chewing, almost the texture of the chicken breast. that was the first time I had eaten there, so maybe it was a free day, so I will give the place definitiw another chance because how friendly everyone was. Very nice and friendly cook and owners I appreciate (not sure). eating was delicious, except the salty poutine sauce. The best thing is that the cook sounds good and seems to be open to suggestions when we told him about the poutine sauce.
Dined in januar 8th aprox 7:15 o'clock with my wife. the quality of food here is top shelf fish n'chips. I had haddock and my wife cod. we divided a series of calamari and wobble rings as well, and everything was perfectly cooked. beautiful delicate calamari and fish that was very fresh, not fat, no fishy smell or taste. the restaurant is very clean and does not smell like burned oil when they enter what is another factor for good tasting fish. I mentioned this to the staff, as we ate our meal and they realize how important it is. the personal was friendly and made us welcome to the restaurant. this place is really a gem in the north surrey and I highly recommend it. many thanks again for a wonderful meal. will be back soon and will continue to support this wonderful local business.
Definitely my fav for fish and chips in Surrey. If you don't know about this place, I understand as it is easy to miss and kind of just blends in. Honestly one of the best place to enjoy fish and chips. They had a special today for haddock and gave that a shot along with some calamari and clam chowder.Haddock was soft, doesnt break apart easily and was pefectly cooked. Best part was having chunks of haddock to dip in their tartar sauce. The crust was mighty crispy as well and makes the fish more enjoyable. I think their fries could be more crispy but, thats just me. Fries are not bad on their own otherwise. Also tried their fire dusted calamari. Not really as spicy as labeled and more like a warm spice. I don't mind it tho as its mainly more about the tender calamari. These were slightly better than their regular just because of the slight spice.Clam chowder was awesome. Probably my favorite from the order today. I love that it's got thicker soup and comes with chunks of seafood and veggies. Super creamy and a ton of flavor. I wish I'd gotten the large bowl.Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
