Prabu Sweets - Surrey
Prabu Sweets
Description
Prabhu's Sweets in Surrey features a tempting array of Indian sweets, with many praising the delightful Gulab Jamuns and satisfying samosas. However, recent experiences have sparked frustration over declining service and quality. While some patrons celebrate the rich flavors and warm atmosphere, others lament long wait times and improper cooking. The introduction of bag fees has left a sour taste for loyal customers, overshadowing the otherwise friendly staff. Despite these concerns, the restaurant still offers delicious sweets and dishes, making it a spot worth visiting for dessert lovers, albeit with some caveats.

The flavors are always fantastic here. I'm just surprised that the Rasmalai seemed to be frozen.
The food was all frozen, which I could easily purchase at any grocery store. This is false advertising.
Very frustrated with the service ordered fresh but received frozen items no one took the responsibility when called the shop. Expectedway better from prabhu sweet!
The Vegetable Pakora (1lb) was improperly cooked and the service was terrible. When I asked what to do, the women working there didn't care. There were no refunds or exchanges available at this horrible place.
We wanted to have some samosas and get some jalebis and gulab jamuns and so we came here. The samosas were fresh but not at all spicy! Much better than another place we tried in Surrey for samosas though! The lady said they make jalebi’s made to order so they are fresh but later asked us if we were ok to take the packet that was made 15 minutes ago so we didn’t have to wait which we didn’t mind but we said ok and took that already made packet. The jalebis did not have enough sugar syrup unfortunately which means they didn’t keep the jalebis dunked in the sugar syrup for long for the jalebis to soak it all in. Very disappointing! Love the Gulab Jamuns though!!! They are simply perfect! Needless to say we will definitely stop by for the gulab jamuns and our search for good samosas and jalebis will continue in the Vancouver area : and oh if u want green chutney which they don’t give with their samosas, cost $1. They give u a sweet chutney with the samosas.
