Been to PASTA VINO just a few many times! I usually order what I know and like but I've ventured off and tried a few different things on the menu and LOVED every single meal. It's so hard to choose what to order each time! Love the cheese board, calamari is very good! Seafood salad is enough to share and OMGosh! Osso bucco is plenty and to die for! We love the dinner and dancing nights! Such a fun atmosphere, feels l... View all feedback.
We love this restaurant and frequently visit!Best Italian in the LML hands down. Amazing food that real and not processed. Thomas is our favourite server and he never fails to impress! I highly recommend!Re: the décor....It could be improved or perhaps revamped and I don't think I have ever faced the window. For someone who has never been it's not bad at all but I agree that some improvement would put this spot over the top :)
The menu is extensive with a number of choices in each categiry. We had an antepasto plate meant for 2 but it served 3 easily. This was followed by gnocci, veal marshland and lamb chops. Each of us was pleased with our meal though we all thought them to be too salty. The decor of the restaurant is where it failed. The large window overlooking the parking lot leaves much to be desired. Starring at a grocery store parking lot does nothing to add to the ambiance. Something needs to be done to cover this window. The rest of the decor is cold and austere.
We have dined frequently at PastaVino and have had some good meals....but the last few times have not been great. We have had spectacular brown butter and sage gnocchi here in the past. The last 2 times, including last evening, the gnocchi wasn't well drained and was over cooked. Therefore the butter and sage sauce was watery. We ordered the $9 chicken and crab soup special. It came to the table luke warm. Was sent back and still wasn't hot when served. The crab was very finely chopped and there was no chicken obvious in the bowl. It was a real disappointment. One of our party ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Her meal was served with no napkin or cutlery and was cold by time we could flag someone down. She finally got the cutlery but no napkin. This has been our 'go to' restaurant but we are disappointed by the deterioration in service and food quality. We hope things improve. This restaurant is moderately expensive and we are willing to pay for good quality and service...not for what we have been getting recently.
Looked for a restaurant to have dinner with a friend who likes Italian food but had hard time finding a restaurant that served gluten free pasta. Past Vino had it all, gluten free pasta, great wine selection, excellent variety of entrees and appies.Service was so exceptional I still remember it and recommend the restaurant to all I know.
Besides being a very handy location, this restaurant is our "go to"place!Beautifully renovated with the new owner a while ago and renamed, many of the staff remained! Exceptional service always!! Wonderful menu, with specials changing with the day. Best Caesar salad tastes like the kind that used to be made fresh at your table!Good wine list and cocktails! Fabulous pastas! All the right touches that make you feel pampered and we always leave happy!
