Lucky Horse Chinese Restaurant - Surrey

To be honest the food here is decent. I am a 3rd generation CDN Chinese so I have a more N. American taste but I have been to many Chinese restaurants. Too many to count. There are many levels of Chinese foods and you must put things in perspective. This is not a high end Chinese restaurant. This is your every day typical Chinese food. It's good and it's high quality. If there every was a Chinese version of comfort food then Lucky Horse would be it. BUT...The service! I think it's the owner's son who I had spoken with and I believe he served me for awhile until he had to make some deliveries. Most places you expect great service but this gentleman went above and beyond. You could automatically tell his personality and kindness was genuine. That alone I give a FULL rating! And yes the food is good. No complaints here! This review is from April 2021 before in-dining was restricted. Restrictions have been lifted and I am going back there soon.

This is our special place for Chinese food. Have been going for a couple of years and enjoyed every meal. We always enjoy eating in but this time we ordered take out at Xmas and enjoyed every bit of it. Great staff and delivery was quick considering the time of year. Definitely look forward to doing again.

My husband and I have been enjoyng the dinners for one options. Very friendly staff, great food, nice sized portions and reasonably priced. My fav is the almond chicken. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The place was clean, functional and nice but I have seen better chinese restaurants. I will recommend them with some reservation.

This place is so good. the workers are so nice the manger is so kind and they are pike family to us. we always come her as a family!!!
