Flavour:- in all fairness we only ordered rolls today. I've always believed how a place makes their rolls shows what they are about.- rice and the pollack was properly seasoned.Value:- relatively speaking ...if you are used to mall type sushi, you would be happy as these will be a bit better and biggerPortions:- they don't skimp on rice and the pollack.- my beef is on the portions or lack of when it came to the fish.... California maki here is LOVE! They have very generous servings! The only thing they need to improve is the atmosphere because it’s too old and too tiny so we usually go there when it’s not peak time. Overall I think they have great rolls here. Yum!
I came here for a post spin class meal and my brother and I were the only customers so we got seated right away. It is really small in the restaurant but we didn’t feel cramped at all. We ordered the agadeshi tofu, salmon and avocado roll, negitoro roll and the salmon tempura roll. Everything tasted fresh and we love how they serve the agadeshi tofu sauce on the side so it stays crispy! The tofu batter was a smidge on the thick side but we still enjoyed it nonetheless. They gave us very little ginger so we had to ask for more but they were happy to oblige and gave us a big serving of it. I would say it’s more of 3.5 rating than a 4, but I didn’t think a 3 gave it justice. For a quick sushi craving, I would definitely return!
Highly recommended! My coworkers and I have dubbed this place ‘inflation sushi’ because the portion sizes are massive (a good thing), everything is consistently fresh, the service is fast and the dine in location is small, but clean. This restaurant only accepts debit or cash, but, I’ve been a repeat customer for years and will continue to be! Dine at this sushi restaurant versus ‘to go’ ‘akasaka ya’ or the one in the huge yellow building beside the Starbucks!!
The restaurant is small but manages to make the most of its space. The team is small but provides a peaceful dining experience. The sushi is average in terms of taste, not bad but could be improved. However, the real highlight is the portion size. The rolls are cut with scissors, offering generous servings at a reasonable price. Guildford Sushi House is a great option for sushi lovers who are hungry for more. The staff is humorous and friendly, with the owner playing pranks on customers in good fun. Overall, a cool spot for a satisfying meal.
My favorite sushi place ever! The staff are super friendly. The portions are awesome. I perfer those rolls over tiny sushi rolls. I usually order 2-3 rolls and I'm stuffed after. The pricing is cheap. I would totally recommend it to anyone.
