A groupon voucher brought us to this restaurant for the first time. Pleasant casual atmosphere with very good service and tasty food. My husband opted for a pasta dish which he gave full marks. I tried one of their seasonal pizzas. It was very different but I still enjoyed it. We will be back and next time I will opt to choose specifictoppingso. Déçu par la pizza. Elle était froide et la pâte manquait de cuisson. Pour un restaurant qui se dit "italien". Par contre le plat de pâtes est bon!!!
In the company of an out of town family visitor we decided to give Famoso a whirl, enticed by some favourable reviews. Our first visit alas, will also be our last.Seated on their outside patio accompanied by the seemingly obligatory and intrusive musical playlist we waited some considerable time for our order to materialize. The rule of thumb, however, is that good food takes time to prepare but unfortunately, in this case, that rule was shattered.The linguine pomodoro was dry, tasteless and totally lacking in presentation. The pasta primavera was soggy, under-cooked with toppings that were skimpy to say the least.The prawn pesto pizza was overly garlicked, toppings sparse with an over-profusion of arugula. The Caesar salad was little more than an unappealing and under-dressed bowl of Romaine lettuce with a few cleverly hidden bacon bits and Parmesan cheese flakes.The wine list was passable and the servers friendly enough but the kitchen product was lamentable in the extreme and needs a serious revamp!

We have been here a few times. I don't know why; the first time was amazing, but since then it has been problem after problem. Tonight it has been 2 hours, no pizza in sight, cold ones an hour ago, neighboring tables on the same boat. No drinks. Neighboring tables getting water for all of us. One turning on patio heaters, which was requested an hour ago. Boredom beyond belief. Safe yourself the grief. Avoid this place.
