Curry&kabab - Surrey

Restaurant is very plain jane - basic booths, crowded space however the curry is good and service is friendly and fast. The fish Pakora is well seasoned and served hot out of the deep fryer - so good. The butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are excellent. We also ordered the garlic Naan - highly recommend.

Chicken samosas for $1, veggie samosas for $0.75. Butter chicken, bhindi masala, garlic naan; all were excellent with perfect spices. Don't go there for the ambiance, they don't have any. Go for the great food at a great price and get take out. They don't have a liquor licence.

Visited on a lunchtime Saturday. Nice wooden tables and chairs with a couple bright pieces of art on the walls. Two tvs: one showing an Hindi film and another with the local news. A pleasant waitress took our order. We ordered two thalis: a vegetarian thali with malai kofta, and a non-veg thali with goat saag and a kabab. The malai kofta was delicious, with an excellent creamy sauce. I loved the goat curry, but the kabab was just okay. Thalis come with rice, naan, raita, raw vegetables and a sweet. Very filling for under $25 including a chai.We would return if we are in the area.

The curry & kabab platter is a good deal at $19.00 and very enjoyable also. If you plan of 1/2 dozen wings go for the dozen instead and save $4.00. Overall our dining experience was pleasant and enjoyable
