Brownsville - Surrey

After walking from the Skytrain to the nearby Brownsville Bar Park, needed a light lunch, and hoped to get one here. Wasn't disappointed. Indeed, better than expected. Full lunch menu with breakfast still available. Had the breakfast special for LESS THAN SIX BUCKS! Beat...that, chain restaurant! Food came quite quickly; about ten minutes; hardly time to read all the signs on the wall. Did have time to note a fair number of patrons, some of whom appeared to be regulars. Great service Kelly quite patient taking me through the menu. Restroom looked clean; especially considering there was live music the night before. Taking Covid seriously: Sign in and wash hands at door, wear mask if you get out of seat, not sitting down, no service. If you like yuppy style franchise-type pubs, you may not like the independent attitude of this place. But, as for me, I'll be back soon

We were visiting Brownsville Park and decided to check out this pub, only because we have seen it a few times on Supernatural. From the beginning, we had pretty low expectations. And that what it was. I can see how they choose this location for...filming – it has this classic middle-of-nowhere run down bar feel to it. Not particularly a bad thing. The crowd is rather specific, as well. There are three beers on tap, and they go by type. The waitress wasn't even sure what breweries they come from. Pretty cool beer mugs, though. We went for a basket for two, since it was advertised. It was a pretty decent set of deep-fried items, and I liked cream cheese wontons. There were wings listed, among other items, but we didn't get any. Basically, it was exactly what we were expecting it to be. Good to visit once if you like seeing places where movies/ tv-shows were shot, but that's about it. On a side note, our waitress was very nice

This place is Soooo "Down-to-Earth" even the servers are allowed to Dr. . . . . It has about Motor homes/Holiday Trailers in the parking area. . . The Steak sandwich is probably one of the BEST in Surrey! Saturday/Sunday Brunch is worth driving...across town for! Definitely NOT Fancy . . . JUST Plain Ole Down Home. . . . we come here to times each month

We have frequented this restaurant often and have always enjoyed the delicious food. The waitresses are always very friendly. However, we had mixed feelings during our last visit when we spotted a mouse after finishing our meal. The staff member handled the situation calmly and didn't seem surprised or concerned. We understand that mice can be found anywhere, but it was still a bit unsettling. Overall, we have never had any issues before and will likely visit again in the future.
