For a fr... read more I looked up reviews since we're new to the area and Belle's sounded like a winner. We got there just before closing, so we got everything for take out. For a frozen mac n cheese, sweet n sour meatballs, a not-fresh-or-tasty cinnamon bun, 3 pieces of carrot cake and a square, it was $74. which I thought was on the high side. I wouldn't have minded if the food was delicious. Except for the meatballs, it was not. I've had better tasting mac n cheese from the grocery store - Pres Choice for example. The carrot cake was okay, but I didn't find it rave worthy at all. I expect carrot cake to be moist and flavourful with a killer cream cheese frosting. This wasn't. The square got binned, the cinnamon roll was dry and tasteless. No beverages were purchased. The interior was charming and looked clean. I so wanted to like this establishment and have a great local place to frequent. The search continues.

Breakfast on the weekend is a local hit. Sandwiches, cakes, cookies, salads etc. always ready to take to work. I took a sandwich to work once and a colleague immediately recognized it as from Belle's. That's saying something!

The owner instructed us to move our expensive bikes from the patio to the lower parkin... read more My wife and I, both cyclists, went to Belles for an early morning coffee. The owner instructed us to move our expensive bikes from the patio to the lower parking lot without providing a reason. When we explained that our bikes were valuable, she dismissed our concerns by stating that they would not be stolen at that time in the morning. Disappointed by her dismissive attitude, we have decided not to return to Belles for coffee and will also be sharing our experience with our cycling friends.

Friendly service greets you... read more In today’s crazy world, it is a real pleasure to step back, just a few years in time and enjoy the unique qualities of Belle’s Café. Friendly service greets you as you enter, good coffee and a wide variety of teas, hot apple juice etc....along with a great variety of sumptuous muffins, slices, scones – you name it – you’ll find it here. The baked goods are literally fresh out of the in-store oven/kitchen and they taste just as good as they look! The lunch menu makes me wonder why I ever leave after just a coffee and scone – it’s wholesome and utterly delicious. And that’s not all………… Under Manager/Chef Cindy’s capable management, there is a wide variety of “created at Belle’s” frozen meals of all descriptions, both Canadian and Continental – I particularly enjoy her ‘seafood lasagne’. Can’t travel to Italy right now? No problem. Take home a Belle’s pasta dish it will transport you there, in your mind, every time! Vicky, the charming ‘Front of House” Manager, will be happy to explain the various frozen meal options to you. If you have never been to Belle’s, you have missed one of the delights of South Surrey/White Rock. Visit the café and you’ll be back time and time again – but please leave a seat for me!
