We found this little Chinese restaurant quite by accident in the Shops At Morgan Creek. We decided to go in for lunch. Their lunch specials were well priced, the restaurant was clean and food was tasty. Probably some of the best Chinese food we have found since coming to BC. Would highly recommend it. What K L doesn't like about Bamboo:
Food is not bad and service is fast. However, the prices on their takeout menu is lower than the actual price they charged. It 's happened a few times but they just laughed when we told them they have to charge what they advertised. They claimed that the menu prices were old but it 's been several months of 'old pricing '. We don 't even know if they charged everyone the same price. Not going back there till they cle... On July 29 at 1:20 pm, I ordered the House Special fried rice and beef broccoli at the restaurant. I paid immediately and informed them that my boyfriend would pick up the food around 6 pm. However, upon realization, they had overcharged me. The lady cashier asked my boyfriend to pay again, even though I had already paid. They refused to acknowledge their mistake. I have no plans to return to this restaurant.
The service at this restaurant is lacking, the food quality is mediocre, and I would not recommend it. The staff is disrespectful when they make mistakes.
We have found the best Chinese takeout in South Surrey at this restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the sweet and sour pork portion could have been larger. The chop suey vegetables were cooked perfectly. The restaurant has a very basic and lunchroom-like atmosphere, so it's not recommended for dining in.
Ordered food, was not impressed. The quality is average at best. There are better restaurants for take-out in the Surrey area.
This is a place i would not return. Quality of the food was not very good for what you are paying. Their beef noodle soup was just average at best, order their Shrimp Dumpling and what a disaster it was. They were definitely freezer burned and over steamed to the point the skin was breaking apart. Definitely did not taste right either! Growing up in Richmond. Also staff was arguing in the back kitchen with one lady yelling at the cook don 't use that, its not clean in mandarin. When we were paying we mentioned the issues with the shrimp dumpling. The owners response was, thats just the way they came from the factory. The chef then came out and looked at it and said whats wrong and proceeded to as us where are you from? Now why does that matter? We paid our bill and basically said, we had high hopes for you, but we are definitely not returning and walked off.
