Contribute FeedbackThe Surrey Cricketers offers a mixed dining experience, with some patrons praising its lively atmosphere and attentive service, while others lament the value for money. While dishes like the halloumi fries and perfectly cooked steaks showcase culinary skill, critics find portions insufficient and some offerings underwhelming. Guests appreciate friendly staff and accommodating service, particularly for special occasions, yet the inconsistent food quality and pricing have sparked disappointment. Overall, this restaurant shines in ambiance and certain dishes, making it a worthy stop for enthusiasts of good food but leaving others wanting more for their investment.
Eating was really good. it is quite difficult to find good in surrey and there are many over low-priced average pubs that is not one of them. we were pleasantly surprised how good that was and the service could not have been better. miso kabeljau and aubergine haupt was extremely tasty. my men got the risotto and she said it was a ban.
The best vegetarian brat I ever had. the best in surrey sure. excellent Veggie options. I'm back.
We booked a table for my daughter’s birthday in the patio area, when we arrived made to feel that we were being a nuisance by wanting to sit out on the patio, it appeared to have been closed off in preparation for the rugby. When we booked no one tried to make contact with us to advise us of this change. Food order taken , but the order was wrong. My daughter order the prosciutto truffle pizza with burrata, but she got a sticky cheese pizza with prosciutto (very good job she doesn’t have a nut allergy or we would be spending her birthday in A E as it had walnuts on) . The service was appalling , No one came to check the food was ok. Felt that we were ignored. We have used this pub on numerous occasions over the last 6 months including my mums wake following her death. And this the second time in a row that we have not been happy with the service or food. Very unhappy as it spoilt my daughter’s birthday (first one without her grandmother) so made it more difficult/emotional than it needed to be. When we got the bill , we mentioned the pizza was wrong, the waiter blamed the change of menu and the chef for the mistake and offered a free dessert not accepted.
We booked to go on Friday night as it was my husband's birthday. The service was fantastic and the food was good and reasonably fast. We were blown away by the amazing singer/ guitarist Gavin and his Guitar who is there apparently once a month. He was fantastic. We found out he is playing on the last Saturday in September so will definitely be going. Such a shame he is only there once a month as he definitely seemed to draw a good crowd.
Pint of Guinness £6.20, ridiculous garden area very nice , since the Brickmakers has been misn-managed this pub is currently the best in Windlesham
