Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area. View all feedback.
What Ian Guillen doesn't like about Old Surrey Restaurant:
The Castle Briand was fantastic, cooked perfectly. The presentation left something to be desired, as there was an excessive amount of vegetables that made it seem more like a simple meal rather than fine French cuisine. The appetizers, oysters for me and scallops for my wife, were also very tasty. The wine selection, however, was lacking. View all feedback.
I went to Old Surrey's restaurant with eight friends for my birthday celebration. We were delighted to have a private room where we could relax and enjoy our meal. Five of us chose the anniversary special and were extremely satisfied with all four courses. The other dishes ordered, including the beef medallions, duck breast, and seafood platter, were also deliciously prepared and served hot. The meat dishes were particularly succulent and flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

After crossing the US border, my companions and I were in search of a good restaurant near us in Canada. We found just that at Old Surrey. We tried the castle menu, which included 4 delicious courses starting with an exceptional seafood dish. This was followed by a table-side Caesar Salad that was also delicious. The main course, the castle, was perfectly cooked, as were the accompanying vegetables and sauces. For dessert, we had the cherry jubilee, which was equally scrumptious. Everything was complemented by a lovely bottle of BC red wine. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We definitely plan on returning. An added bonus is that using the Nexus program makes crossing the border easier.
Not sure why it says this restaurant is vegetarian friendly. You have no only vegetarian option on your entire menu, not even the appetizers.
I love Old Surrey Inn, it 's definitely my go to restaurant, however, the previous two visits, prior to my last, I was underwhelmed and had no intention of going back... Salad had too much vinegar, which made it inedible. We, as usual, took the 4 course meal, I chose chateau briand because my girlfriend loves it, but I 'll admit, that I was pissed, that they didn 't serve filet mignon and I didn 't enjoy the steak they replaced it with at all. But, my boyfriend wanted to bring me there, because I love French cuisine and he 's never been there before, so we booked a reservation. We selected 4 course meal, Steak filet mignon Lobster tail. Filet Mignon was cooked to perfect. Caesar Salad appetizer for 2. Other appetizer had citrus fruit in everything and since I have allergies to citrus fruit, they offered me a selection from the menu of Prawns or Scallops. I was suggested the Scallops and they were absolutely outstanding! Fresh Vancouver Island Qualicum Bay Scallops flambéed with Sambuca shallots, finished hollandaise and parmesan cheese It certainly made me fall in love with it all over again.
