This was my first visit since it changed to Surf Diner, although I've frequented the place for many years when it was Nibbles. The interior renovation looks great, and it's a nice touch to have restrooms within the restaurant. The food was quite good—offering a fairly standard breakfast menu. The staff were generally friendly, although our waitress had her moments of being a bit curt. However, the beautiful view never disappoints.
We had originally planned to go to Bubba's, but waiting 45 minutes with kids was not an option. Instead, we crossed the street and were thrilled with our choice. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. You can request any fried dish to be grilled instead, which was a nice option. The kids enjoyed their meals thoroughly; they devoured the mac and cheese, burgers, and corn dogs. I had the fried shrimp, which was excellent, and I also ordered it grilled. The generous portion of flounder was impressive as well. Overall, we experienced great food and fantastic service, and afterwards, we enjoyed the ice cream shop and pier right nearby. It made for a perfect evening!
Stunning view: a clean and welcoming breakfast spot right on the beach. The food surpasses typical diner fare. Perfect for families!
